KATE CEBERANO ANNOUNCES NEW DATES FOR 2025 AUSTRALIAN MADE TOUR

Kate Ceberano
To meet overwhelming demand Kate Ceberano today announces new dates for her upcoming Australian Made Tour of 2025. The multi-ARIA-winning icon has added four major city venues to an epic run after the original 22 regional shows set the box office alight, several Victorian shows selling out in record time.

The four new shows are: Hamer Hall Melbourne – September 19, Fortitude Music Hall Brisbane – September 20, Thebarton Theatre Adelaide – October 11, and Sydney at a soon-to-be-announced venue –September 14.

Tickets for all shows are available at www.kateceberano.com

“The response to this tour has blown us away,” Kate says. “It looks like I wasn’t the only one to think the time is right for a retrospective of my 40 years in Australian music — not only as a writer and a performer but as a massive fan. I’ll be singing songs I’ve had the privilege to be a part of and paying homage to some of the greats I’ve known and admired. Expect a ton of Australian classics and handpicked surprises. I can’t wait to hit the road and share my music and memories about them all.”

Following an especially vocal protest from Adelaide, Kate was thrilled to secure the tour’s climactic date at the newly refurbished Thebarton Theatre. “I love Adelaide, my family has a long history with SA and I have some great mates who live there, so it was a show I was determined to make happen,” she says. “I’m also stoked to add Brisbane to the line-up as well as a hometown Melbourne show at the beautiful Hamer Hall.”

Launching her fifth decade as a performer, the Australian Made Tour is a tribute to Ceberano’s musical legacy, blending highlights from her own platinum catalogue with some of Australia’s most iconic anthems: a heartfelt tribute to the songs and artists that have helped shape and inspire her extraordinary career.

From her own band I’m Talking to Divinyls, Models, INXS, Mentals, Jimmy Barnes, Sia, Icehouse, Silverchair, John Farnham, Australian Crawl, Bernard Fanning, Jimmy Little, The Church, Renee Geyer, Paul Kelly and more, Kate is preparing to bring her own magnetic spin to the great Australian songbook.

“It’s so important for me to express my culture, my Australia, in song,” she says. “This tour is a love letter to the artists, bands, audiences, and storytellers I’ve travelled with over this vast continent for four decades. It’s a deep dive into what makes me an Australian artist: my hungry heart holding their words to my chest, making them the soundtrack to my life.”

The tour’s title harks back to Kate’s breakthrough moment: at just 20 years old, she performed as part of the original Australian Made tour of 1986/87, sharing stages with INXS, Jimmy Barnes, Models, Mentals and Divinyls. Nearly four decades later, she returns to the concept with a fresh perspective, delivering an experience rich with storytelling, rock’n’roll mythology, and the untamed energy that defined an era before smartphones and social media.

Joining Kate on 25 stops (not including Mundi Mundi) are two powerhouse musicians at the vanguard of Australian music. Harts is a multi-instrumentalist virtuoso who famously jammed with Prince at Paisley Park en route to three albums of psychedelic invention. On her first national tour, the prodigiously talented rock guitarist and singer Kathleen Halloran continues to forge a formidable reputation with her acclaimed second single Find Me Again. Together this dynamic line-up will take audiences on a journey through time, seamlessly blending eras and influences to present a vast panorama of Australian music in evolution.

Kate Ceberano’s 2025 Australian Made Tour

When: June 6 – October 11, 2025
Where: NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, WA, the NT and SA

Middle East tourism destinations respond to climate, perception and evolving consumer demands

ATM 2025

  • Industry experts at ATM 2025 highlight regional innovation in traveller safety, cultural preservation, and cross-border collaboration as essential pillar of sustainable tourism growth
  • Cruise, hospitality, insurance, and development sectors align on advancing traveller trust, safety, and experience
  • According to UN Tourism, the Middle East recorded tourist arrivals 32% above 2019 levels in 2024 — the fastest recovery of any region globally

The global travel landscape is increasingly complex, influenced by climate change, environmental concerns, and changing traveller expectations. In the Middle East, destinations are proactively adapting their tourism strategies to tackle these challenges by focusing on resilience, innovation, and long-term value. The region is addressing issues such as extreme weather, shifting consumer behaviours, and geopolitical pressures with agility and ambition.

According to UN Tourism, international tourist arrivals reached 1.4 billion in 2024, marking a 99% recovery to pre-pandemic levels and an 11% increase compared to 2023. The Middle East led this rebound, recording arrivals that were 32% higher than in 2019, making it the fastest-recovering region worldwide. At Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, panellists at the session on “Redefining Tourism Products in Uncertain Times”, held in partnership with the Global Travel & Tourism Resilience Council, discussed how the Middle East is innovating to ensure traveller safety, preserve cultural and environmental assets, and enhance its appeal as a trusted, forward-thinking destination.

Hon. Ghada Shalaby, Executive Director, Egyptian Hotel Association, said: "Over the past decade, Egypt has faced several challenges, and we wanted to tailor make our approach to the tour operators and to the end consumer as well... especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when we communicated our health and safety procedures. By the end of 2023, we had reached our big figures for tourist arrivals, which continued into 2024."

ATM 2025
During the high-level session on the ATM 2025 Global Stage, cruise industry experts emphasised the sector's advancements in sustainability. They noted that modern ships now operate under some of the strictest environmental regulations in tourism, especially in sensitive areas like the Red Sea. The discussion also addressed how perceptions, more generally, influenced by media coverage and travel advisories, can misrepresent conditions on the ground and impact travel decisions.

Ibrahim Osta, Global Tourism Lead, Chemonics International, commented: “So we have travel media, but you also have the general media. What the media reports has an implication on the interest in that market and the willingness for [tourists] to come [and visit]; this makes the job of the tourism authorities much more difficult.”

During the session, delegates heard how perceptions of instability, which are often amplified by social media and outdated advisories, can impact demand for insurance. They emphasised the importance of collaborative storytelling, investing in green infrastructure, and engaging new source markets by offering diverse experiences and cross-border itineraries.

Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME, Arabian Travel Market, said: “ATM serves as an essential platform for cross-sector dialogue, particularly on issues that affect the future of travel in complex environments. By bringing together representatives from insurance, hospitality, development, and the cruise industry, we are contributing to creating a more connected and resilient tourism ecosystem in the Middle East and beyond."

ATM 2025, themed “Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity”, continues at Dubai World Trade Centre until 1 May, welcoming over 55,000 travel professionals from 166 countries. The show features more than 2,800 exhibitors and content sessions across three dedicated stages — the Global Stage, Future Stage, and the new Business Events Stage.

Held in conjunction with DWTC, ATM’s strategic partners include Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Destination Partner; Emirates, Official Airline Partner; IHG Hotels & Resorts, Official Hotel Partner; and Al Rais Travel, Official DMC Partner. The latest ATM news stories are available at https://hub.wtm.com/category/press/atm-press-releases/.

Over 6m tourist arrvals to Vietnam in 1st quarter

Travelers from Russia take direct Azur Air flights
to Khanh Hoa from mid-March of 2025
According to the General Statistics Office, international visitors to Vietnam in March 2025 reached more than 2 million; a year-on-year increase of nearly 29%. In the first quarter of 2025, Vietnam welcomed more than 6 million international visitors, up by nearly 30% compared to the same period last year and the highest-ever number of visitors in a quarter.

China was the largest market with nearly 1.6 million arrivals; South Korea ranked second with nearly 1.3 million arrivals; followed by such markets as Taiwan (China), Japan, India, the U.S.A and Australia.

The record number of visitors in the first 3 months of 2025 resulted from effective promotional campaigns and visa relaxation to lure tourists from potential markets; contributing to affirming the growing appeal of the destination of Vietnam but also marking a significant step toward the goal of welcoming 22 to 23 million international visitors by the end of 2025.

However, to achieve this goal, the tourism industry needs to focus on developing a wider variety of tourism products, especially those with unique cultural and historical values; green tourism products... to attract more and more international visitors and encourage higher spending from travelers.

To learn more about the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT), visit their official website at https://vietnamtourism.gov.vn/en/. As an agency under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, VNAT oversees state management of tourism, enforces tourism laws nationwide, and manages public services in tourism according to the law.
